This is the motto for this section, which is either for the women view points or for the things that matter the most for them.

Sayyda Zaynab [AAH]

She is the daughter of Imam Ali [AHHF], the husband of sayyda Fatema [AAH], daughter of the Messenger of Allah [PPBUH], and the sister of the two Imams al-Hasan and al-Husain [AAT]. She was born in Sha'ban of the 6th year of Hijra, and two years after the birth of Imam al-Husain.

She is Zaynab bent Ali ibn Abi-Taleb ibn Abdel-Mottaleb ibn Hashem ibn Abd-Manaf ibn Qusay, the Qurashian, the Hashemian.

She was born during the life of the Prophet [PPBUH] as Fatema His daughter did not give birth to anyone after His death [PPBUH]. Zaynab was a reasonable, wise, judicious, and eloquent woman. Her father, Imam Ali, married her to his cousin Abduallah ibn Ja'far during the Caliphate of Imam Umar ibn al-Khattab. She gave birth to Ali, Awon the oldest, Abbas, Mohammad, and Um-Kalthum.

She narrated from her mother Fatema bent Muhammad [PPBUH], Asma' bent Amis, and an attendant of the Prophet; his name is Tahwan or Dhakwan. Also, narrated from her, Mohamed ibn Amr, Atta' ibn al-Sa'ib, and Fatema the daughter of her brother al-Husain ibn Ali [AAT all].

Sayyda Zaynab bent Ali [AAH] used to say: Who wants to have all creatures as his intercessors to Allah, he should always thank Him. Did not you listen to what they say in the prayers "Allah listens to whoever thanks Him"? So you should fear Allah because He has the power over you, and you should be bashful from Him because He is close to you.

Sayyda Zaynab bent Ali was with her brother Imam al-Husain when he was killed as martyr. Abu-Bakr ibn al-Anbary said that, on that day and after the killing of sayyduna Imam al-Husain, sayyda Zaynab bent Ali drove out her head of the tent, raising her voice, and saying:

[what would you say when the Prophet asks you:

what did you do, while you are the last of the nations,]

[with my family and relatives, after I am gone,

some of them got captivated, and others are bloodstained]

[was this my recompense for guiding you?

to succeed me badly in the people of my family?]

When the young son of Imam al-Husain - who was an ill young boy at that time - was entered to ibn Zeyad, he asked him: what is your name? the boy answered: Ali ibn al-Husain. Ibn Zeyad said: Did not Allah kill Ali? the boy answered: I had a brother whose name was Ali, he was older than me and was killed by the people. Ibn Zeyad said: No, Allah killed him. The boy said - the Qur'anic verse: [Allah takes the souls at the time of their death] az-Zumar 39:42. Ibn Zeyad ordered the boy to be killed. Sayyda Zaynab, his aunt, covered the boy with herself, and said to ibn Zeyad: O ibn Zeyad, enough of our blood, I ask you by Allah if you kill him, you kill me with him. then Zeyad had to leave him.

Fatema bent Ali, her sister, said: when we were sitting in front of Yazyed ibn Mo'awiya, he tried to be nice to us at first. Then a red man from the people of el-Sham stood and faced Yazyed and said: O prince of believers, give me this, and he meant me. I was a young and bright girl. I was terrified, and I thought that he can do that. I grabbed the clothes of Zaynab, who was my older and wiser sister. Zaynab had the knowledge of the Fiqh and knew that this was not lawful for them in Islam, so she said to the red man: By Allah, you are lying and being cur. It is not lawful for you or for him. And she pointed at Yazyed. Yazyed got angry and said: It is you who is lying, by Allah I can do that if I want to. Zaynab said: No, by Allah. Allah did not allow you to do that until you are out of our religion to another one. Now Yazyed was mad and he said: Do you say that to me? It was your father and brother who went out of the religion. Zaynab said: the religion of Allah, my father, my brother, and my grand father is the religion that guided you, your father and your grandfather. Yazyed said: You are lying and you are the enemy of Allah. Zaynab said: You are a tyrant prince, who swears unjustly and compels with his power. As if Yazyed was ashamed, he was silenced. The red man started again and said: O prince of believers, give me this girl. Yazyed said to him: Shut-up, may Allah give you a terminal death.

What a composure, a wise mind, and a brave heart, sayyda Zaynab had in front of that unjust tyrant.

All Ahl-al-Bait [family of the Prophet] used to consult sayyda Zaynab always, that is why they called her (the advisory head). She entered Egypt in Sha'ban of the year 61 of Hijra. The governor and his council used to hold their sessions at her house and under her leadership, so they called her (chair of the council). Her house was the refuge and shelter for every weak, sick, and needy, so they called her (the mother of the helpless).

Imam Fakhreddin [AAH] said about her:

[By Zaynab the greatest, I ask you O her Grandfather

to continue giving the safety gifts to my people]

She is sayyda Zaynab the daughter of sayyda az-Zahra' [AAH], about whom the Prophet [PPBUH] said: (O, Fatema, will you not be satisfied that I let you marry the earliest man of peace in my people, the greatest of them in knowledge, and the most of them in tolerance?). If this is the father, then who is the mother? She is al-Batoul the daughter of the Prophet, who said: (This is Fatema. Who knows her, then he does, and who does not, let him know that she is my daughter, the light of my eyes, the heart of my liver, and the soul of my heart).

Coming from this noble origin, no wonder if she sat in her father's lap one day - while she was a child- and he was playing with her nicely, then he said to her: Say one! She said: One. He said to her: Say two! She kept silent. He [AAH] said to her: Talk. She said: O father, I can not say two with a tongue, I used to say one - she was referring to the Oneness of Allah. He [AAH] held her to his heart and kissed her between the eyes. That was the monotheism, as simple in form and as high in meaning as it can be. She spoke with her pure tongue and exalted monotheist soul which is a branch from the Mohammadian tree origin. She grew up in her grandfather's arms [PPBUH] and was irrigated by the guide of this nation Imam Ali [AHHF].

No wonder, she is sayyda Zaynab [AAH] who is known for her boldness, daring, courage, and strife. So would we learn from her in supporting the right. Let's have sayyda Zaynab in our hearts when we speak the truth which is the only thing that counts in the judgment day in front of Allah the Merciful.

She passed away on the 15th of Ragab in the year 62 of Hijra, which means that she lived until she was 56 years old, just like her brother, Imam al-Husain. Her Mawlid (Hawliya) is celebrated in the month of Ragab each year in her well known mosque and famous scene in Cairo in the square known by her name. People come to visit her from every place in the world to get her blessings and pray there, whereas her place is known for the answering of the prayers and the descending of the goodness.
