the Prophet - Companions - People of Allah - Barriers

'The Barriers from Al-Mohaimen are four' (qasida 5:16)

This is the motto of this section, which is for talking about the barriers that cuts off the Moslems' relations with Allah [Al-Mohaimen which is a name of Allah that means the Dominant who controls everything]. We need to know these barriers in order for us to be able to avoid or rectify them in our path to Allah.

This section started with a question from one of our viewers, which he sent to the Discussion page. We then found out that it is a big issue that needs more extensive discussion. We found a book made out of a research conducted by a group of brothers which took them 2 years to complete. This book discusses this subject extensively from the point of view of sayyidi Fakhreddin because it was made with the help of some of his older companions. The book's title is "al-Morshid al-Wagis" which means [the summarized guide].

You can find all special expressions in the Glossary. We need your comments to develop this site for you.

Subjectivity 3

What are its linguistic meanings?

It was said that Subjectivity is the tendency of self towards lust. It was also said that it is named Subjectivity [Hawa in Arabic] because it causes one to fall [Yahwi in Arabic] into scourges in the worldly life as well as to fall into the abyss [Hawia in Arabic] in the hereafter. It has also been interpreted as 'falling from top to bottom', and for each one a falling different than the other. Every one's falling is unlimited, and could be downwards or upwards. These are what some linguists said.

What did people of Allah say about subjectivity?

There is a constant conflict inside man between soul and subjectivity. Each one of them is a king who has ministers and an army to fight the other. The ministers of the soul are the kinds of knowledge expressed through monotheism and the angels are its army. The ministers of subjectivity, on the other hand, are the selves and its army is the devils.

Allah says [if you support Allah, He will support you] Mohammad 47:7. How? It means to support the soul which is coming from the command of Allah, as it is in a constant war inside man until his death. After death, it is either heaven or hell. You have to know that you are the judge between two parties and you have to take the side of one of them in the war. And if you please one of them the other will be angry.

The devil says man to disbelieve, but when he disbelieves, [he says, ‘I have nothing to do with you; I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds’] al-Hashr 59:16. If man's heart is purely occupied by the mere worldly pleasures, this occupation is called 'distress', but if it is occupied by mere following of Satan, it is called subjectivity.

Imam Fakhreddin says:

[Aberration leads to immorality and subjectivity

Allah refuses to let the trespasser dominate] 76/20

He also warns us saying:

[Wake up! Subjectivity caused many to fall

creations that you know, and I witnessed] 41/49

By 'wake up!', the Imam means to get back to the praised state. The pure occupation of the heart by following the Messenger of Allah [PPBUH], it is known as 'vigor'. Subjectivity is the tendency to follow the cursed Satan.

Subjectivity could also be directed to the tendency to follow the Prophet [PPBUH]. It is like a scale; the soul is on one side and the self is on the other. If either of them weighs more, then the pointer would go to its direction and the subjectivity would follow it and abide by its command. So, if the soul possesses the subjectivity, then the love for the Prophet, his family and the saints increases, in this case this kind of subjectivity is love. If the self possesses it, Allah forbids, man is driven to the worldly pleasures.

Subjectivity is the worst god worshipped other than Allah. Allah says [But as for him who fears to stand of his Lord, and restrains his self from subjectivity] an-Nazi'at 79:40. It has been interpreted as the fear that arises from the knowledge of the servant that Allah is standing on everything, and in everything, and seeing everything. The servant constantly sees himself standing before Allah for judgment, so he works hard to restrain himself from subjectivity or anything that takes him away from Allah. The Messenger of Allah [PPBUH] said (man's faith will not be complete, until his subjectivity agrees with what I came with). In this case it will be love.

To confirm that this is the only way to Allah, Imam Fakhreddin says:

[We were not only rightly guided, but also gifted, and also

what the Prophet came with became our subjectivity - love]

In another place, Imam Fakhreddin says what he teaches his disciple:

[I fed my children the love of - subjectivity towards - the family of Ahmed

So they inherited purity from Taha and my mercy]

So why is the love of the family of Messenger of Allah [PPBUH]? Imam Fakhreddin replies:

[Every sinner, if overtaken by love - subjectivity -

Allah will remove, because of this love, from him every sins]

Allah says [Have you seen him who takes His God as his love "subjectivity"] al-Forqan 25:42, and look at how He said [takes His God as his subjectivity] not 'his subjectivity as his god', as he does not worship his subjectivity and he has no love but to Allah.

No more comment I can say, after that.
