Hawliya of the two Imams, April 2010

Burhaniya people celebrate the Hawliya of Imam Fakhraddin Mohamed Osman Abdu al-Burhaniy and his son Imam Ibrahim Mohamed Osman at the quarters of Tariqa in Mogama^c Imam Ali ibn Abu-Talib. 

Hawliya date is determined according to the day when Imam Fakhraddin Mohamed Osman Abdu al-Burhaniy was transferred to the supreme companion (died) in April of the year 1983. In this Hawliya Murids and sons of the Imam from all over the world gather under one motto of Love, loyalty, and brotherhood to raise the flag of Islam (Love and Peace). the motto of this year's Hauliya is:

Whoever asks him will not be turned down (qasida 8:14)

A motto is always from the qasaid of Imam Fakhraddin, and it is about the mode of the Hauliya for the year. There is always a new motto for each year. It is different from the symbol of tariqa with its three colors (the yellow, the white, and the green).

Tariqa Burhaniya, that gathers the Mudids of Imam Fakhraddin, is one of the Sufi orders that follows the directions of sayydina Mohammad [PPBUH]; the ture proper magnanimous forgiving religion, which is far from extravagance and transgression. The tariqa works to serve the religion of the prophet Mohammad [PPBUH] all over the world. It does that with wisdom and sincere counseling as Allah Almighty required. It strives to spread the love and peace between people, and make them understand and love the religious (Shari^ca) duties, performance of supererogatory (Nafela) and the obedience for Allah. It explains for the people what proves their beliefs and enlightens their hearts with the recitation of Allah and prayers for the beloved Mustafa [PPBUH]. It lays for the people the teachings of the companions of the Messenger of Allah [PPBUH] and the rest of the people of Allah until they become able to keep pace with globalization and the requirements of the modern era.

In the 27^th Hawliya, we can testify as eye witnesses that these two Imams are distinguished for the virtue of their morals and their strive to revive the Sunna, which has died or effaced. Khartoum; the heart of the earth is celebrating their Hawliya in the traiqa quarters where people flock to it from Africa, Asia, Europe and America to renew their allegiance to the Messenger of Allah's love in the Hawliya of the two Imams and get their Nafahat (gifts) as they used to do every year.

Each year the Hawliya has a special flavor. It usually starts with the raising of the flag. the next main event is the big procession from the old Zawiya beside Imam Fakhraddin's house, where he used to live, to tariqa quarters. The family of the Imams will be at the front of the procession. After them comes the head of the procession, the guide of the Tariqa Symbol, the guides of the flags, and the propagation and chanters car. They will all be led by the state officials and the police, then there will be the lines of the beloveds. This procession starts after Salatu al-^cAsr, with the drums, the tambourine, and the chanters chant with the wonderful qasaid of Imam Fakhraddin and of other people of Allah [AAT] all. The procession walks through the streets of Khartoum until it reaches the Mogama^c of Imam Ali ib Abu Talib [AHHF] just before Salatu al-Maghreb where the ceremony ends with the visit to Maqam of the two Imams. After the prayers and the religious (Shari^ca) duties, the Sheikh gets ready to receive the guest delegations from all Sufi Order Masters, State Officials, Foreign and Arab Embassies. The big ceremony starts with the words of the virtues from the delegates continues until it ends with a big Hadra that lasts till dawn. Sometimes after Salatu al-Fajr there will be a visit ceremony to Maqam of the two Imams.

May Allah gives the benefits and gifts (Nafahat) of these days and gives you all the long prosperous life to be able to attend the next year's Hawliya.
