Woman of the best women

Aseya bint Muzahim

The believer queen

She grew up  in palaces as a queen, accustomed to the life of kings, and saw the oppression of power, the tyranny of influence, and the obedience of the subordinates and followers. However, the faith illuminated her heart and lighted her insight, so she hated the life of astray and sheltered to the shadow of faith.

She prayed to her Lord to save her from this life, then Allah answered  her prayer and made her an example for those who believed in Allah. Allah, Almighty, said [Allah gave an example for those who believed as Pharaoh's woman, when she said entreating: Allah make a house for me in paradise with you and save me from Pharaoh and his acts and save me from the wrongdoers] al-Tahreem 66:11.

The Prophet [PPBUH] said (the best women of paradise are: Khadija bint Khuwaylid, Fatima bint Mohammed, Maryam and Aseya)Imam Ahmed.

She is Aseya bint Muzahim [AAH], Pharaoh's wife who was an example, which was immortalized by the Holly Quran, for the believer woman who was honest to Allah. As when she knew the right path, she followed it without any fear from falsehood and the injustice of its people. As she believed in Allah so firmly and without softening, that Pharaoh threats and menaces never turned her away from her faith or away from the right way.

She traded with Allah and won that trade, as she gave away the wealth, the palaces and the servants in exchange for what is most precious and gracious; a house in paradise and the marriage of the Prophet [PPBUH] in the hereafter. Indeed, how good recompense for those believers!!!

Aseya [AAH] was mentioned in Moses [PBUH] history, when Allah inspired to his mother to put him in a box and cast it into the sea. Then the waves would threw the box, with Moses [PBUH] in it, towards the shore was overlooked by Pharaoh's palace. Then the female slaves took the box and entered in the palace. When Pharaoh's woman, Aseya, saw the child (Moses), in the box, Allah bestowed the child's love into her heart, so she loved him so much.

When Pharaoh came to kill the child, as he used to do with all children who were born for Bani Israel, she asked him to keep him alive to be as a substitute for her deprivation of sons. Thus, Allah enabled Moses [PBUH] to live in Pharaoh's house. Allah, Almighty, said [We inspired to Moses's mother to breastfeed him and if you feared for him, cast him into the sea and do not be afraid and do not be sad, for we will bring him back to you and make him one of the Messengers ¤ Then people of Pharaoh picked him up, so he would became an enemy and sadness for them. Indeed, Pharaoh, Haman and their soldiers were wrong ¤ Phraoh's woman said: A Delight for me and for you, do not kill him so that he may help us or we make him our son while no one knows this] al-Qasas 28:7-9.

Aseya [AAH] had an intact Fitra [the common sense that one is born with], a conscious mind, and a merciful heart. Therefore, she condemned the insanity that controlled the mind of her husband and she did not believe what he alleged that he is a God and a son of Gods.

When Moses [PBUH] grew up and went to Madian, escaping from Pharaoh and his soldiers' violence. Then he returned back to Egypt once more, after Allah sent him with His message. Pharaoh's woman was of the first who believed in his message. Her belief in Allah was not kept hidden from Pharaoh, so he became insane when he knew. As how can his wife, who shared his life, believe in Allah and disbelieve him? So he tortured her, as it was hard for him that his wife dissented from his belief and believed in Allah, in whom Pharaoh did not believe. Pharaoh ordered the torture of his wife with all kinds of torment to return to what she used to be. However she remained a believer in Allah, and she endured and even liked the pains for the sake of Allah .

Pharaoh ordered his solediers to throw his wife on the ground and bind her to four wedges. They whipped her on her body. However she was patient and sacrificed for Allah's reward all what she endured of sever pain and suffering. Then he ordered a Molar to be put on her chest, and a great rock to thrown upon her. She entreated to Allah to save her from Pharaoh and his acts. Allah Almighty Answered her prayers, and her soul was raised to her Creator, shadowed with the wings of the angels. to live in paradise.

Aseya [AAH] believed in Allah, and endured all kinds of torture for her faith, so she has deserved to be one of paradise's immortalized women.

The Prophet [PPBUH] said (Many of men were perfected. However no one from women was perfected except, Aseya (the Pharaoh's woman), Maryam bint Omran. And the grace of Aisha over all women is like the grace of porridge over all other food). al-Bukhari, Muslim, at-Turmuzy, and ibn Majah.
