You can find all special expressions in the Glossary. We need your comments to develop this site for you.

Great Ancestors' Books

Since we are constantly in need for the non-distorted books of our predecessors, and since some irresponsible groups had intentionally or unintentionally printed distorted books and spread them either in the markets or on the internet, there aroused an insisting need to find reliable sources for the books and knowledge of the virtuous predecessors. So, we are nominating to you some sister sites that choose accurately every book they present. This way you can easily find the books and texts of our predecessors which some people tried to hide and conceal, but Allah will complete His guidance, even if biased people dislike.

We will mention some of the books, from these sites, that sheikh Fakhr Eldin quoted from in his books and lessons. More information about these sites are in the library page in our main site.

A book from the library:

Two books from the six Sahih [right] Hadith books:

Sunan Abu-Dawud

The book of Sunan Abu-Dawud by Imam Soliman ibn al-Ash'ath as-Segestani. Born 202 and died 275 AH. He got his knowledge from a big group of earliest scholars like: Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal and Yahya ibn Ma'yn. He also taught many Imams like: Imam Shaybani, Hafiz at-Turmuzi, Hafiz an-Nisa'i, and so many others. This book is the first of the Sunan Hadith books in its correctness and the third in all the Hadith books after al-Bokhari and Muslim. It contained all Hadith of rules. Imam Abu-Dawud said that wrote 500000 Hadith of the Messenger of Allah [PPBUH], yet he chose only 4800 of them to include in his book of Sunan. He included the right Hadith, what is like it, and what is close to it. Scholars agreed that Abu-Dawud is a perfect Hafiz, a plentiful knowledgeable scholar, a devout master, and a deep understanding one in Hadith and other matters. Ibn al-A'rabi said: "If any had nothing but the Qur'an and the books of Abu-Dawud, he will need no more knowledge at all". The books of Abu-Dawud are the chapters of this book which are 35 books containing exactly 5274 Hadith.

This book was printed several times in India and Egypt. The research reviewed the earliest editions, included the Qur'anic verses in the same way as the Qur'an, corrected the typing mistakes, arranged the book, and gave section numbers.

Sunan an-Nisa'i

The book of Sunan an-Nisa'i by Hafiz Abu-Abdel-Rahman an-Nisa'i with explanation by Hafiz as-Seyouti who died 911 AH. and a Footer by Imam as-Sanadi who died 1138 AH. Hafiz as-Seyouti made his explanation as a comment on the book of Sunan an-Nisa'i which has been written 600 years before his time. The codition used by an-Nisa'i and Abu-Dawud for Hadith was that they gave the right Hadith that was left by al-Bokhari and Muslim but from a different way than al-Bokhari and Muslim way. They also included Hadith that they did say it was perfect because it was narrated and use, so they included it but they wrote their opinion about it. So we can say that they included all Hadith that was not definitely rejected by all scholars, because the ranks of critics of men were including some that are strict with some that are moderate, so if these critics did not agree to reject someone, they would not have left it. The condition of an-Nisa'i was not lenient at all, in fact, they said about it that it was more strict than the two sheikhs; al-Bokhari and Muslim, because he avoided some of their narrators. An-Nisa'i said about that, that he had some doubts, in his heart, about some narrators, so he consulted Allah [Estikharah] and the choice was to leave them, so he left quite some Hadith that he narrated from them. That is why he did not take the Hadith of ibn-Loha'a and of Qutaiba. Abu-el-Hasan al-Ma'aqri said: I you take what has been narrated by the people of Hadith, you would find that what was narrated by an-Nisa'i is closer to correctness. As a whole the book of an-Nisa'i is the lowest of all Sahih books in weak Hadith or doubted narrators. An-Nisa'i book was also the best of all Sahih books in sorting and elegance of style. It also combined both the ways of al-Bokhari and Muslim with a great deal of explaining the reasons. Scholars agreed that an-Nisa'i book is one of the six Sahih books. Imam as-Seyouti explained and commented on its sections and Hadith.

The researcher ascribed the Hadith of the Sunan and of Hafiz as-Seyouti.

From the book of the tender signals - the behavior of the seeker with his sheikh

Adherence to the sheikh

Whoever has a sheikh, should stick to him and make an effort to have his solitude be in front of the door of the sheikh in order to be under the sight of the sheikh whenever he comes out of the door. This will be a sign of his being a happy one, for a look from the sheikh could make him become pure gold and could have make him manage without Jihad. That is what happened with sayydi Yusuf al-Agamy when he once came out of his solitude and he looked at a dog by the door of the mosque. All the dogs of Egypt followed that dog and went with it wherever it went and stopped when it stopped. People were sacrificing caws for these dogs. Later the sheikh knew about that, so he sent someone behind that dog and said to him "Banish", so all dogs left that dog at once. The sheikh said: "If that look was bestowed on a human he would have become an Imam followed by the people as an example".

They said that a seeker should not travel unless he was accepted by the road, as the travel is like a poison for the seeker. Imam Qushairy [AAH] said: "If Allah wants something good with the seeker He would fix him in the place of His will, and He would maintain him in the way of his Jihad. But if Allah wants something bad with him He would let him go back to how he was before repentance and make him be absorbed with the worldly life than Allah".

Imam Qushairy also used to say: "All the good is in standing by the door of the sheikh. If Allah wants something bad with someone, He would sent him in strange places before he is well developed in the order of his Lord".

The best a seeker can do in his travel is to do some Hajj without the required manners, visiting places people go to, or meeting sheikhs without being attached to them in learning. This kind of seeker is not able to follow the protocols of the path because Allah has not promoted him to the ranks of men. If Allah wanted him to be promoted, He would have restricted him to serving his sheikh and pledging allegiance to him for listening and obeying in sickness and in health.
