'and Reveal to me every concealed secret' (from as-salat adh-Dhatiya). This is the motto of this section, which is for information and stories from Islam that was either told by great old Moslems or accepted and supported by Islam. It is also for the Sufi rare information told by the people of Allah. You can find all special expressions in the Glossary. We need your comments to develop this site for you.

One of the messengers with the firm will: Noah [PBUH]
His name [PBUH] was Abdal Ghaffar and because people used to see him weeping, they called him Noah [means in Arabic: the one who weeps a lot]. It was said also that Noah means the one who cries with a voice, as he feared Allah Almighty so much. He had so much fear of Allah that he did not have any home to live in. He live in the open for nine hundred and fifty years. When he was asked: You had the longest life among all prophets, so what did you do in this worldly life: He said: "As if it was a home with two doors. I entered from one door, and I left from the other". It was said in the reason of his crying that he saw a dog with four eyes, and he said: "This is an awful dog". The dog replied: "Oh Abdel-Ghaffar! Do you criticize the sculpture or the sculptor?! If you criticize the sculpture, then if it was for me, I would not want to be a dog. And if you criticize the creator, he never suffers any shame as he is doing whatever He wills". So Noah [PBUH] used to weep and cry whenever he remembers that.
It was narrated
that
when Noah [PBUH]
reached four hundred and eighty years, Gabriel [PBUH], the messenger
angle, came to him. Noah [PBUH]
asked: "Who are you glorious man?" Gabriel
[PBUH]
replied: "I am the messenger of the Lord of the whole world and I
came to you with a message from him. Allah is
sending you to your
people". Allah said in the Qur'an
[Lo! We
sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people
there come on them
a
painful
chastisement]
Noah 71:1. Gabriel
told him to go to Allah's enemy
Darmasheil son of Fomayel son of Gieg son of Qabiel son of Adam. Darmasheil was a titan and
self-willed. He and his people were worshipping
the five idols that
was mentioned in the
Holy Qur'an: Wadd, Suwa’, Yaghuth, Ya’uq
and Nasr. Those idols had servants
who serve them day and night. There was a
feast for those idols every year and
people used to gather
for it, setup fire
around those idols, danced, drunk wine and committed
adultery in public. Noah
[PBUH]
went to them on
that day, stood up on
a high hill and raised his eyes
towards the sky asking Allah to give him victory
over them. Then he shouted,
as loud as he could, saying: "Oh People! I am a
The assistants of the king brought Noah [PBUH] to the king, who asked him: Who are you? Noah [PBUH] replied: "I am Noah, the messenger of the Lord of all worlds. I have come with the message to believe in Allah alone and leave the worship of those idols". The king felt the greatness of Noah [PBUH], and feared him, so he replied: "If you are possessed, we can cure you. If you are poor, we can support you and if you have debts, we can pay it for you", but Noah [PBUH] said: "I am not possessed, poor, nor have debts. But I am the messenger of the Lord of all worlds". The king got angry and said: "If it wasn't a festival day, I would have killed you the worst kill". Then Noah [PBUH] used to come out every day to the people and call on them: O, people! worship Allah. You do not have another God but Him alone with no partner. Then they used to come to him and beat him with sticks and stones until he becomes unconscious. Then they used to drag him to the garbage place and throw him over it. When he wakes up, he used to wipe his face of the blood, washes up, prays, and asks Allah to forgive his people because they don't know. He kept on doing that for almost three hundred years. Time passed and Darmasheil died, his son became the new king and he was worse than his father. Noah kept on his call and the people kept on their rejection. So every time they hear the voice of Noah [PBUH], they used to put their fingers in their ears, then he would point to them with his finger with a sign to mean that there is only one god, but then they would cover their faces with their clothes. In this context, Allah Almighty said: [And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist and magnify themselves in pride] Noah 71:7.
The king died and
his son was crowned but he was worst than his father and grand
father. Some day while Noah
[PBUH]
was advising his people, he met a group of people and among them there was a
little child
carried by his father. They kept on insulting Noah
[PBUH]
and beating him, and then the
child asked his father what was wrong with that man (he meant
Noah) and his father told him his story. The child
advised his father to cut Noah's tongue. At
When the ark was built, Allah Almighty told Noah [PBUH] to load on it with two of every kind, a pair (male and female) and his own family. Noah [PBUH] had 4 sons and his wife was named (Elissa). that is why the sailors until now say "Hobba-elissa" as if they are calling on her to to come to their ship, as she refused to get on the ark. Allah Almighty condemned her and her son to drown. Noah [PBUH] got on the ship with his three sons and other four men. Three of the four men had a daughter each, the forth one did not have children. Noah [PBUH] called on his forth son - the son of Elissa - to get on the ark, Allah said: [and Noah cried unto his son: O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers] Hud 11:42. but he refused, Allah said: [He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water] Hud 11:43. Noah [PBUH] replied: [This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy] Hud 11:43. Allah Almighty said to Noah [PBUH]: [Lo! He is not of thy household; lo! He is of evil conduct] Hud 11:46.
What does (evil conduct) means? And what happened on the ark? This is to be continued…
